Awards are chosen in late May or early June, after the accepted art has been delivered and installed at The State Museum.

The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission will officially announce the winners via press release/post to websites/social media channels concurrent with the opening reception/awards ceremony on June 14, 2020.

Award recipients will be contacted prior to the opening reception/awards ceremony and are asked to refrain from making their own announcements prior to the ceremony.
