Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony: Sunday June 14, 2020
The reception and awards ceremony will be held June 14, 2020 at The State Museum. This opening reception is free and open to the public; giving visitors an opportunity to engage with some of Pennsylvania’s finest artists. Typically, more than 600 artists, art patrons, and interested visitors, attend the reception.
Artists Conversations
The Artists Conversations series is a special tour program held in conjunction with Art of the State. The popular program pairs three featured artists with museum staff and exhibit jurors to share perspectives on the exhibition. The events for the program will run through Sunday, September 13th. They are included with museum admission and reservations are not required.
Gallery Walk: Sunday, September 13, 2020 Gallery Walk is a city-wide walking and driving tour of exhibit sites and galleries showing art on an on-going basis. Founded in 1987, Gallery Walk is intended to promote art venues in Harrisburg and encourage people to buy art locally throughout the year.
Two of this year's programs will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 2nd and 2 PM on Sunday September 13th. The date of the third Artist Conversation has not been set.
